The Happiest Place on Earth: What to do With the Kids.
Taking a trip to Disneyland is supposed to an experience of a lifetime. But, once your foot enters the park, all the focus turns to your inner child and it’s easy to forget about the real kids you brought to the park. You eyes quickly dart towards all the exciting attraction you want to get at, while forgetting that you even have children! While its hard to resist that inner child that wants to run around the park like a kid who’s had way too much sugar, make sure you keep you children’s thoughts in mind and visit some of the attractions they’d like to see. With Disneyland’s huge selection of attractions, it isn’t too hard to find things that your inner child and your real child can agree will make the day memorable.
Almost everything in Disneyland’s borders will please the youngest and the oldest at heart. Anyone can enjoy just about all the rides they the park has to offer. Take a trip to Fantasyland and find the variety of Disney feature themed rides like Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, the Dumbo ride, and the Peter Pan’s Flight. While from the looks of it, they seem to be kids’ rides, they’re sure to delight people of any age. It’s almost an impossibility to cross one of these rides without getting the urge to jump on, with or without a child! There are rides for, literally, everyone to enjoy. With four different “lands” such as Tomorrowland, Frontierland, and Adventureland, there are loads of different rides and other attractions to try. Who could spend a day at Disneyland without a visit to “It’s a Small World?”
Of course, there are also more child-based attractions as well, such as Mickey’s Toon Town, but just as the kids can enjoy the “older” attractions, adults can enjoy the younger attractions too. Take a visit to Mickey’s house or Minnie’s House; visit Donald Duck’s boat, or visit Chip ‘n Dale in their tree. There are plenty child attractions that can be enjoyed by all. And, of course, it is Disneyland, so while you seek out your favorite Disney character to take a picture with (Mickey is inside his house), look for your child’s favorite character as well. All of their favorite characters are always roaming around the park just ready to take a photo with your child!
If you haven’t been to Disneyland in a while, then you may not have been to their new addition to the park, California Adventure. Be sure to take your children over there and experience the new attractions that the park has to offer. Take a walk with the insects as you experience what it’s like to be in A Bug’s Life. This area is a lot of fun as you look around and feel like the size of an ant! Blades of grass tower over you and huge sprinklers shoot water out as you make your way through cereal box tunnels. Take them around California Adventure and you can take them to learn how their favorite characters evolved and they can even learn to draw their favorite characters!
So when your going to Disneyland, remember that you kids want to have fun too, and with the huge variety of things to do, everyone, young and old, can have a magical time and be a kid!
