For me (and I know for many others), planning my next holiday trip is sometimes less fun than what you would think. It becomes less of duty once you’ve been going for a while and start thinking more of the time of rest as opposed to your efforts in planning. The real issue usually is however to choose what you want to do. There are many, many countries across the world that are definitely worth a visit. Some even more than just once. Some places may not be as known as other, but all of them are definitely excellent destinations with its own charm. If you’re looking to appeal to your need for cultural diversity and historic attractions then you need to start thinking of European Holidays.
Now we know that Europe is big – very big. So what is worthwhile and what’s not. Hours of research will lead you to the conclusion that every country on the European continent deserves a visit. Perhaps you want to take a trip to the countries on the Eastern part of Europe such as Poland, Slovenia or Hungary. Some rather go for the traditional western side of the continent by visiting places like Austria, Switzerland or Ireland. Whatever you decide to do, you’ll find that your experiences are filled with great encounters with interesting people from all walks of life.
Many people has recently started to opt for a city break as a way to start their European holidays. This is a straightforward way to spend your time in one city as opposed to being all over the show. This is almost a perfect way to get very close to the country and the locals.
Many people like to go for holidays in Paris as their first choice. Many people mostly think of the better known Paris sights when they think of a European holiday. Images of the Eiffel Tower and little Parisian Cafe’s spring to mind. This is a magnificent holiday spot and commonly known as the city of Light. Apart from the great museums and attractions it’s also a shopping and fashion capitol of the world. If none of this does anything to impress you, the foods and culinary specialities in Paris definitely will. You will surprise your tastebuds with some new exciting flavours. The kind that only French chefs and cooks can bring to light.
You can even mix a Paris trip with a London vacation package. The city of London has an amazing history and used to be the place where it all happened during the times of British global domination. At present this is a city, rich in cultural diversity (a cosmopolitan as such), but still have a very strong English influence. Apart from being a financial powerhouse in the global economy you can experience some of the best known sites in the world. Among the many this includes Houses of Parliament, Canary Wharf, Kew Gardens and Tower Bridge. Make sure that you also take a break between all the attractions and go for a pub lunch. Remember to order bangers and mash.
You’ll find that both these two cities offer excellent travel opportunities and is a very good way to start exploring Europe. So don’t wait around. Start to plan your trip right now!
